Roots of love, branches of support, growing with you
Roots of love, branches of support, growing with you
I am a trained doula with over 20 years of experience supporting families through pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. My goal is to empower birthing individuals through evidence-based practice, emotional support, and labor support. I am a parent of seven strong, independent, amazing human beings, and I find joy in grandparenting their seven delightful offspring.
I have served in various roles in Early Childhood Education branching across Orange and Riverside Counties for over 30 years. I have a Bachelor of Science in Child and Adolescent Development and am currently pursuing a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. My passion is early childhood development. I strive to educate others about the importance of being rooted in the value of intentionally engaging children ages zero to five in social-emotional learning, growth, and development. I am dedicated to nurturing the growth and well-being of children and their families from birth to launch and beyond.
My multilimbed approach provides the trifecta of family support expertise rooted in best practices in each branch of service. As a Birth Doula, I serve the community, helping families navigate pregnancy and parenthood. As a Family Life Coach, I will collaboratively strategize with families to build and execute their values-driven family life plans. As a Mentor Coach, I support teachers in their professional growth and development. I believe this approach will support the growth of healthier individuals, relationships, families, communities, and society, and I am driven to spread these seeds of wisdom wherever I go.
A doula is a trained professional who provides continuous physical, emotional, and informational support to individuals and families before, during, and after childbirth. Doulas are not medical providers but work alongside healthcare teams to ensure that birthing individuals' voices are heard, and their preferences are respected.
Doulas support families by offering perinatal support such as, doctor's visits, comfort measures during labor, assisting with birth plans, and providing guidance during the postpartum period to ease the transition into parenthood. Their presence is associated with improved birth experiences, reduced medical interventions, and enhanced bonding and breastfeeding outcomes
